If leaders only manage the income shock, they will miss the metabolic shock: people whose identity and purpose were housed in a role. Sovereign Value Producers are one attempt to rebuild those four non-income elements as a portable judgment portfolio rather than a job title.
Rapid AI progress exposes two governance failures: a Great Race toward centralized monolithic AI, and a Gradual Disempowerment in which society trades agency for comfort. The Third Path is a protocol intended as a social contract written in code — sovereign agents, open datasets, verifiable public benefit. Whether or not one adopts the specific token design, the diagnosis is the one executives should steal: if you do not design for agency, you will get one of the two failure modes by default.
